With more installation opportunities, high-powered LEDs (as always), and a compact size, the EVO Mini is our most versatile LED driving light yet.

DESIGN.
Taking notes from its older siblings, (the Type-X™ Evo 8.5 Inch & 7 Inch) the EVO Mini was created to match the cutting-edge design of modern vehicles on the market. Now despite its size, we assure you the EVO Mini is first and foremost an LED driving light. Designed with the same brief as the rest of the EVO family, the Mini blends well with any new vehicle.
At first glance, one is drawn to the sleek silhouette of the EVO Mini. A design choice that mirrors the hexagonal-shaped front grills of contemporary vehicles. Upon inspection, the EVO Mini is accented by two focal points: a finely crafted 3D lens with top and bottom planes designed to focus & disperse light properly, and bespoke coloured fascia rings with a metalized finish.
Now we assure you, all our EVO Mini Lenses are made from riot shield material i.e. Lexan polycarbonate. This ensures that anyone using the EVO Mini will not have their lenses shattered or chipped from anything they may encounter. Oh, did we mention that all our fascia and covers require no tools to fit; say “adios” to screws and allen-keys and “hello” to snap-on simplicity.
PERFORMANCE.
We’re pretty sure most readers of this blog, will be familiar with the ever-popular C4 cube LED task light. Although C4 lights can be used for stealth driving purposes on motorbikes, quad bikes, etc our goal with the EVO Mini is to bridge the gap between the size and range of application of the C4’s and LED driving lights.
Just like the EVO 8.5-inch version, the EVO Mini driving lights are available in dedicated Spot and Flood models. We aim to provide you with the flexibility to mix and match any combination of these EVO lights, ensuring optimal performance in various driving conditions. By leveraging our expertise across all our other LED driving light designs, we've been able to ensure the most powerful Lux output in a 4-inch driving light to date.

When we designed Type-X™ EVO 8.5-inch, we chose the brightest LED available: the CREE XPL2 emitter. This exceptionally powerful LED can be underdriven (powered at a lower rate) to deliver high performance and extend its operational life. Building on this success of the original EVO, we applied the same approach to the EVO Mini, incorporating 10 XPL2 LEDs to achieve proportional performance, in a form with a more diverse range of applications.
1 Lux is a unit of measurement that quantifies the minimum amount of light necessary to read a magazine or book when held up to a light source. When using a pair of EVO Mini Spots, you can achieve 1 Lux up to a distance of 580 meters. In contrast, a pair of EVO Mini Floods will measure 1 Lux at 285 meters with 140 meters of spread. Succinctly, the Type-X™ EVO Mini has exceptional output and an expansive beam pattern, suited to enhancing visibility whilst driving.

Defining the Critical Zone
The “critical zone” refers to the optimal distance required to safely stop from a speed of 100 km/h to avoid animal collisions. Ideally, you need 200-300 meters of well-placed light ahead. The Type-X™ EVO Mini floods, provides over 140 meters of extended horizontal light, boosting your safety whilst driving.
Please note, that depending on where the EVO Mini light is installed, these stats will vary. For example, should you use a pair of EVO Mini Floods for ditch lights on your vehicle bonnet, due to the outward angle you should see an increase in lateral light output.
FITMENT
Although the Type-X™ EVO Mini, is the smallest iteration of the Type-X™ EVO range, its capabilities in application in fitment are humongous. The EVO Mini thrives in the vehicle fitment ecosystem; they’re easily fit within tight bull bar spaces, ideal for ditch light use, and easily chained together for a Prerunner Baja on any vehicle roof rack via the EVO Mini Under Rack Bracket.
Even though the EVO Mini is a driving light, we have seen phenomenal success when installed on lighter-weight vehicles i.e. motorcycles, quad bikes, and UTVs. Due to their small size, they can easily be paired on the front forks of a motorbike, on the rear bar of an ATV, or paired with an Evo 7-inch driving light on the front of a UTV.
At STEDI™, we take great pride in testing our products, especially our driving lights. As an Australian company, we regularly put our lights to the test in the harsh conditions of the Australian outback. We subject them to scorching heat, kilometres of rugged roads, and the occasional puddles & bog holes. Despite these challenges, our Type-X™ EVO Minis have thrived; mainly thanks to our cast alloy aluminium housing, advanced shock-resistant design, and IP68 waterproof rating. Our Type-X™ EVO 4-inch LED driving lights are built to last, giving you peace of mind when driving.
Furthermore, the EVO Mini driving lights are plug-and-play with a Deutsch 2-Pin Connector, meaning they can be easily connected to any pre-existing wiring system without the need for complex modifications.
Should you choose to run more than 2 of the EVO Minis or possibly pair them with a single or pair of EVO 7-inch or 8.5-inch lights, we recommend using our Smart Harness to mitigate the electrical current.
If you are after the Prerunner look and are planning on running 4 or more of the EVO Minis, we have introduced the 9 Array Harness, allowing up to a total of 9 lights to be utilized and daisy chained in sequence.
Additionally, for full compatibility, STEDI™ has a range of vehicle-specific High-Beam Adapters.
CUSTOMISATION.
COLOUR FASCIA RINGS
The Type-X™ EVO Mini driving lights come with a range of beautiful metallic finished fascia to choose from, such as carbon fibre, grey, red, green, pink, orange, and blue. Moreover, fitting this fascia is a breeze as they require no tools at all. Say goodbye to screws and alan-keys and hello to snap-fit solutions. Also, we are constantly adding more options for you to choose from, so stay tuned for exciting new colours on the way.
BLACKOUT/FILTER COVERS.
If you’re looking to improve the performance of your Evo mini driving lights or simply make sure they’re roadworthy? Look no further than the STEDI™ Evo blackout & filter covers. The former (filtered lenses) change the colour and tone of the beam from a 5700k white to blue or amber light, with more lens variations forthcoming. Meanwhile, the blackout covers are designed to protect the Evo Mini driving lights from dust and debris. These covers are available in various designs, but their primary purpose is to protect your lights and alter their beam characteristics.
Whilst driving light covers are often designed for aesthetic or functional purposes, they also play a crucial role in adhering to road compliance regulations. For instance, in Australia, having more than four driving lights makes a vehicle unroadworthy; by covering a light it is excluded from this count. Similarly, in the EU and USA, regulations require all auxiliary lights to be covered when driving on sealed roads.
