Now that the Australian market has received the update to the 5th Gen RAM pick-up trucks, we have built out the below information to help guide you through adding additional LED lighting to your RAM be it auxiliary driving lights, work, or camp lighting.
RAM 1500 LED HEADLIGHT UPGRADE
Most trim levels found in Australia of the 5th Generation Rams will be fitted with factory LED throughout the vehicle so not necessary nor possible to upgrade the headlight bulb without an aftermarket housing. For the base level trims such as the Tradesman and Big Horn, LED Headlight upgrades are possible as the vehicle is factory fitted with both Halogen high and low beams.
RAM 1500 AUXILIARY DRIVING LIGHTS
At the current point in time, we have no solutions for inner grille lighting suitable for the RAM 1500 (5th Gen) models, not to say there isn't anything coming. For this specific RAM 1500, we optioned to fit a Rhino Rack® across the top allowing for a 51 Inch of our ST3K LED light Bar as the clearance between the rack and roof was a tad too limited to squeeze in a double row.
The ST3K provides a comfortable middle ground in terms of beam supplying good spot and a wide flood beam vastly improving over the factory headlights.
RAM 1500 LED WORK LIGHTING
Having a roof rack system such as the Rhino Rack® Platform allows for an abundance of LED Lighting solutions to be added to the roof be it to help with worksite lighting or add the perfect mood lighting to any campsite. In this particular RAM 1500, you will find our C-4 cube lights (diffused) on both the left and right side providing an insane amount of light intensity for any tasks needing to be performed near or far to the vehicle. At the rear are a pair of 10w Mini V2 work lights assisting with lighting in the tray and behind the vehicle.
